Just back from Golden Valley Country Club. \u00a0Not my usual haunt. \u00a0This was a luncheon put on by our financial manager, RJ Devick et al. \u00a0Interesting presentation by a guy from JP Morgan saying that the economic outlook has good spots: \u00a0corporate profits, medium spots: \u00a0growth and jobs and medium to weak but improving: \u00a0housing. \u00a0He foresees continued growth and a genuine wrestling with the country’s financial situation after the election. \u00a0The economy has improved every year under Obama’s administration and the deficit has shrunk.<\/p>\n
Also, a presentation on metabolic medicine by a very sharp woman doc. \u00a0Will probably be taking some of her recommendations by mouth.<\/p>\n
Both of these presentations were worthwhile but neither the setting nor the crowd were mine. \u00a0A lot of nervous retirees focused on the bad in the economy and the bad in their health. \u00a0Good way to generate gloom. \u00a0Bah, humbug.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
