The house is quiet. \u00a0Kate is gone. \u00a0The dogs are at the kennel. \u00a0Just me. \u00a0I hear the dogs anyhow. \u00a0They went looking for Kate this morning. \u00a0Absence. \u00a0A part of life and death.<\/p>\n
Spent the day working on Missing. \u00a0Finally put the covers on the bee colonies, too.<\/p>\n
We’re pretty much closed up for winter here. \u00a0Food put by. \u00a0Bulbs planted for next year, including \u00a0 garlic. \u00a0Composted manure added into the soil of beds that saw heavy use this last growing season. \u00a0Some leaves yet to add as mulch. \u00a0Trees to prune and cut, but that’s winter work anyhow. \u00a0Ready for snow.<\/p>\n
