Kids from Mankato today. \u00a0They have studied China and the first emperor. \u00a0We connected though I wouldn’t put these in my top two favorite tours of the year. \u00a0 \u00a0On me and them. \u00a0When the students come from further away, they have to get up early to get to school, get on the bus, then make the drive. \u00a0They seem tired.<\/p>\n
Docent friend has decided to hang up his lanyard after 18 years. \u00a0I’ll be sorry to see him go. Tom’s got a quick wit. \u00a0As he said, “I may not be the sharpest knife in the drawer, but I’m in the drawer.” \u00a0Quite a bit more than that. \u00a0I hope we see him around at some points anyhow.<\/p>\n
I have this feeling like it’s time for the semester to be over. \u00a0There are 16 more Terra Cotta Warrior tours on my calendar between now and January 11th. \u00a0That lengthy time off will feel good.<\/p>\n
