Six month sabbatical begins, work week-wise, today. \u00a0My first task? \u00a0Organize, reshelve, move. \u00a0Books, magazines, file folders, objet d’arts. \u00a0Gonna slim down the book count in the study to books that support writing, Latin, art. \u00a0Poetry, too.<\/p>\n
After it’s organized–again–I plan a strict policy. \u00a0One book in. \u00a0One book out. \u00a0Better filing formats, too, and more prompt filing. \u00a0Not because it makes me a better person, but because it reduces hassle.<\/p>\n
Cleaning like this always puts me in a down mood. \u00a0Why did I let it get like this? \u00a0Why can’t I clean it on a regular basis? \u00a0I know the answer. \u00a0I get focused on one task and pulling books from the shelf, files and folders out to consult is part of that. \u00a0Putting them back right away isn’t. \u00a0I’m working on the task. \u00a0Forward, not backward.<\/p>\n
Still, finishing always puts me in a better mood, so I’ll finish. \u00a0This week if not tomorrow.<\/p>\n
