Home again, home again. \u00a0The dogs greeted me with unusual joy and vigor. \u00a0Vega spun round and Gertie jumped up, biting at me to come play. \u00a0Tumultuous. \u00a0And wonderful.<\/p>\n
Kate came into the Loon Cafe and picked me up from the Hiawatha light rail. \u00a0She had on blinking ear-rings. \u00a0The server at the cafe, before I arrived, had asked her, “Is that how your friend will recognize you?” \u00a0It was. \u00a0I knew her right away.<\/p>\n
She led us through the maze of parking spaces to the truck, not easy in the mammoth commuter ramps that collect cars from the western burbs.<\/p>\n
The trip home had no remarkable moments, a good thing for travel. \u00a0I did use, for the first time, a bar code boarding pass on my cell phone. \u00a0Felt very with it. \u00a0You all have probably done it for years, but it was amazing to me.<\/p>\n
It’s nice to use the full size key-board and not the 92%, slick metal keys of the netbook. \u00a0Having said that, the netbook has been the best single computer purchase I’ve ever made. \u00a0It goes everywhere with me when I travel. \u00a0It’s compact, picks up wi-fi with ease and has a 92% keyboard, which is why I bought it. \u00a0It’s allowed me to post on this blog from as far away as Cape Horn, south of Tierra del Fuego.<\/p>\n
