In spite of that set back I’m still going forward to Book I to begin a full translation and to take notes for a commentary. \u00a0I’ll just have to go slower and work harder. \u00a0The time exists as does the will.<\/p>\n
This morning I finished the first book, The Eye of the World, by Robert Jordan, in the Wheel of Time series, twelve books long and unfinished at Jordan’s death at age 58. \u00a0It’s an impressive achievement. \u00a0It’s reach is broad and his intention runs deep. \u00a0I’m not sure about the depth, but I am sure that the world he has imagined and the narrative threads he has uncovered within it are wonderful.<\/p>\n
