<\/a>bulbs ready for harvest. \u00a0They’ll rest now in the shed for two weeks, drying further for storage. \u00a0Yellow onions keep pretty well. \u00a0Sweet, red and white not so much. \u00a0The garlic we’ll cut into small slices and dry. \u00a0Garlic flakes dried retain flavor at a remarkable level. \u00a0We will buy garlic this year to dry since our crop was smaller than expected.<\/p>\nJavier and his crew are in the orchard, clearing out grass and preparing to lay down double landscape cloth and plastic, then mulch. \u00a0In an interesting sidenote one of the laborers is white, hired by Javier I assume from a day labor place.<\/p>\n
Today was to be a bee inspection day but Javier and his crew are in the orchard so not a good time to rile up the colony. \u00a0I’ll get out there tomorrow.<\/p>\n
