OK.\u00a0 In previous episodes of the Vega\/Rigel saga our heroines have:\u00a0 escaped multiple times, eaten the recently installed netaphim, chewed up various hoses and their inside beds and, most famously, eaten my wedding ring.\u00a0 All that, but now they’ve done something serious:\u00a0 revealed the insides of the dvd player remote.\u00a0 Yike.\u00a0 Can you imagine manually inputting every command to your dvd player?\u00a0 I thought not.\u00a0 Sigh.<\/p>\n
Kate’s back and she’s glad to be back.\u00a0 It allowed a day to rest and today we’ve begun work on the meal for the Woollies.\u00a0 I dug potatoes and pulled beets and carrots (three colors–white, purple and orange)\u00a0 while Kate brined the two free-range chickens I bought yesterday at the grocery store.<\/p>\n
While filling the dogs pool (yes, they have one in addition to the water container.), I squatted down to hold the hose, the shortened bit Vega has left me.\u00a0 Crack, snapple and pop.\u00a0 Not rice krispies.\u00a0 Nope.\u00a0 It was my lower back.\u00a0 Owee.<\/p>\n
Kate is a great resource on how to handle back pain so I have been her apprentice since then.\u00a0 She also gave me some pain meds that helped, too.\u00a0 I wanted to go out to the Marsh in Minnetonka to see the opening of Moon’s art show, but I can’t make it.\u00a0 Moon is Scott Simpson’s 92 year old Cantonese mother-in-law.<\/p>\n
