{"id":350,"date":"2008-02-26T01:34:13","date_gmt":"2008-02-26T07:34:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ancientrails.com\/?p=350"},"modified":"2008-02-26T01:34:13","modified_gmt":"2008-02-26T07:34:13","slug":"black-sticky-rice","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ancientrails.com\/?p=350","title":{"rendered":"Black Sticky Rice"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>9:23PM.\u00a0 Night.\u00a0 Clear sky.\u00a0 Orion stands over the back of da fish shack.<\/p>\n<p>Saw a mule with an egret on its back.\u00a0 So.\u00a0 I looked it up.\u00a0 Cattle egrets pick parasites off the backs of cattle and apparently some egrets do the same with horses.\u00a0 These are not cattle egrets, but, then again, these weren&#8217;t cattle.\u00a0 Found a picture on an Austrailian website with egrets on feral horses.\u00a0 Whatta ya know.\u00a0 Balance.<\/p>\n<p>Tomorrow is the Hanalei farmer&#8217;s market so I&#8217;m going to take in the farmer&#8217;s market and the Lumiha gardens on the same trip.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The shells I found were tiny, but I saw another Nihau shell lei today and these shells aren&#8217;t the same kind.\u00a0 Still, we can do something with them and I&#8217;ll get more of them on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Had long noodle soup, summer rolls and black sticky rice for supper.\u00a0 The black sticky rice was yummy and\u00a0I found a recipe.\u00a0 It is a black rice made with coconut milk and tapioca.\u00a0 It&#8217;s tasty.\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>9:23PM.\u00a0 Night.\u00a0 Clear sky.\u00a0 Orion stands over the back of da fish shack.
