I’ve been reading a good bit, too.\u00a0 Current book, The Glass Devil, by Helen Tursten, a Swedish mystery writer.\u00a0 Almost done.\u00a0 A bleak book in many ways.\u00a0 Put alongside the Girl Who Played With Fire and the Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, however, it paints a consistent picture of Sweden.\u00a0\u00a0 Clean, minimalist, family oriented with a certain sexual candor.\u00a0 Educated, but somewhat insular.\u00a0 (peninsular?) Also heir to all the vices that plague us all:\u00a0 sex, drugs, violence, gangs, family dysfunction.<\/p>\n
