Potatoes take some energy to plant.\u00a0 First you have to dig foot-deep trenches, then you plant the seed potatoes.\u00a0 After that, you fill the trench back in about 8 inches or so.\u00a0 Even in my plot’s highly organic soil this involves lifting a lot of mother earth.\u00a0 Having said that, I love finding potatoes in the soil, like little treasures.\u00a0 And they taste really good straight out of the ground.\u00a0 Really good.\u00a0 (these are not our potatoes.\u00a0 what a lot of work there.\u00a0 Whew)<\/p>\n
