Back home after picking up fried chicken wings from the Wing’s Joint.\u00a0 It used to be on Nicollet, a ways past Lake Street.\u00a0 How it ended up in Blaine in a strip mall, I haven’t figured out, but I’m glad its there.\u00a0 Best wings in town.<\/p>\n
Watching the Wolfman with Benecio Del Toro spent the first half of the movie–what I’ve seen so far–trying to capture the heaviness, grief-stricken weariness and stolidity of Lon Chaney.\u00a0 He’s just not Chaney.\u00a0 Anthony Hopkins is, as one reviewer said, Anthony Hopkins.\u00a0 It’s easy to see where they were heading with this.\u00a0 The set, the costumes, the whole ambiance is right, but the story is draggy, too complex, too frilly.\u00a0 With Hopkins and Del Toro there are enough acting chops here to produce a good film, but it likes a great story line.\u00a0 Too bad.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
