{"id":7653,"date":"2010-09-05T13:30:44","date_gmt":"2010-09-05T19:30:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ancientrails.com\/?p=7653"},"modified":"2016-05-15T14:12:48","modified_gmt":"2016-05-15T20:12:48","slug":"renaissance-fair","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ancientrails.com\/?p=7653","title":{"rendered":"Renaissance Fair"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Lughnasa\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Waning Artemis Moon<\/p>\n<p>The Renaissance Fair.\u00a0 Kate and I left home around 8:15 this morning, arriving at the Renaissance Fair ground around 9.\u00a0 Traffic, at that time, was not a problem.\u00a0 We wandered the grounds watching fools, knaves, long-bowmen, merchants, lords and ladies plying their wares and their trades.\u00a0 The atmosphere was casual bawdy with buttons that said:\u00a0 Ready To Be Mounted, Nay, Nay, Never and Let&#8217;s Be Bad Guys.\u00a0 A bumper sticker on the way out, a black ribbon like the ones you see on many cars in yellow, read:\u00a0 Support Bondage. That sort of thing.<\/p>\n<p>Kate found a pop-over, her favorite.\u00a0 We also located some ceramic salad plates and bowls, all different designs, but from the same potter, a high quality guy from St. Paul.\u00a0 Our main purpose though was to stop by Courtesans and Costumes, the Renaissance clothing boutique owned, operated and provisioned by our neighbor Lydia Perlich and her S.O.
