Workshop begun.  Lots of writing.  Positioning ourselves in the now, looking back, trying to stay just below consciousness, in the twilight area, letting our depths speak to us without analysis.

If you know me well, you might think this would be difficult for me, but it’s the contrary.  It’s a place I find easily.  This experience will, once again, change my life.  How?  Don’t know.  That’s the beauty of it.  But I do know the change will be integral with who I am and where I’ve been.

Kate and I are fans of Wes Anderson so we’ve snagged a couple of tickets at the Lagoon for the Grand Budapest Hotel.  Afterward, we plan to dine at the Hammer and Sickle. They seemed to go together to me.

OK.  There, I did it.  Missing is off to seven agents.  I’ll add at least three more before I head out to Arizona.  But, it’s on its way into the wide world.  Good luck, baby.

In a continuing education environment all day.  Tiring.  I’ll post more about it later tonight or tomorrow.  It was about current brain science as it relates to anxiety, depression, phobias, PTSD and other psychological issues.

-15 when Kate got up this morning at 7 am.  -4 now, four hours later.  Last winter stayed a long time, with cold and wet weather well into May.  I hope this winter feels it’s already shown us what it has and will choose to make a timely exit.  Still, the cold makes inside life fine and it keeps the pests away.

Fixed a minor tech glitch yesterday with the aid of a friendly resident of the Indian subcontinent.  Our Roku went down.  “It is because the remote is not pairing with the Roku, Charlie.  Don’t worry, I’m here now to help you fix it.”  Not kidding about the dialogue.  Good service.  Fix worked.

Took Kate up to Rogers, the Hampton Inn there.  She’s in her room, napping as the snow falls.  Her sister, Annie, will be coming up later.  It’s a quilting retreat.  Which, literally, is what it is.  That is, the quilters come together, bring all their own stuff-sewing machines, stash, other projects, food-and sew on things they would do at home. It’s a group mentoring experience where problems get worked out, praise is given and a sense that you’re not in this quilting thing alone is nurtured.    (The Quilting Frolic 1813 John Lewis Krimmel)
